LONG WINS DISTRICTS, BOTH TEAMS ADVANCE

CEDARVILLE – Saturday was a great day for Covington cross country as both the boys and girls teams advanced to the regional meet and senior Asher Long won an individual district title.

Long won the boys race in the time of 15:40.00 and the Buccaneers finished eight as a team to move on to regionals.

The Lady Buccs advanced as a team by finishing seventh and were led by
senior Johanna Welborn, who finished ninth in the time of 15:57.30.
