LADY BUCCS CLOSE OUT THE REGULAR SEASON WITH AN EVEN RECORD

COVINGTON – Covington volleyball lost to Miami East in the final regular season match for both teams. It was also Senior Night and Community Appreciation Night.

In varsity action, Covington could not find the winning combination against a very good Miami East team. The Lady Buccs lost 18-25, 21-25, 21-25. The regular season record closed out to 11-11 overall and 10-4 in the TRC, which placed Covington tied for second in the TRC with Bethel.

The Lady Buccs’ reserve team came up short in their season finale 25-20, 24-26, 19-25. They finished 14-8 overall and 10-4 in the TRC.

The Buccs will open DIV Sectional play at Arcanum 5:00 Monday versus Mississinawa Valley.

DEGRAFF – Covington Volleyball took their longest trip of the season and visited Riverside HS for a TRC matchup.  Covington JV defeated Riverside 25-14, 25-15, they are now 14-7 (10-3).

Covington’s varsity put a damper on Riverside’s Senior Night by defeating the Pirates in straight sets, 25-21, 25-13, 25-19. Covington is now 11-10, (10-3).  Covington will host Miami East on Thursday night for our annual Senior Night, when we honor Kearsten Wiggins and Carlie Besecker.
