SHELBY OAKS – It has been eight days since the Covington Buccaneers have faced competition on the golf course, which leads to concerns of maintaining consistency.

Fortunately the Buccs were able to play well enough to defeat Lehman Catholic in a close contest, 168-174 at Shelby Oaks on Wednesday to remain undefeated in the TRC with a 9-0 record.

Bryson Hite led the Buccs by carding a score of 38 strokes on a par 36 course to earn medalist honors.

Cameron Haines finished with a 41, while Matt Dieperink scored a 44. Sam Grabeman, Brodie Manson and Connor Humphrey all finished with scores of 45.

The Buccs look to keep the momentum going tomorrow (Thursday) against Troy Christian at Echo Hills.
