ST. PARIS – The Covington Buccaneers closed out head-to-head matchups in the TRC with a victory over Miami East to remain unbeaten in league play.

It wasn’t easy for the Buccs as they finished with a score of 170 on a tough course at Lakeland in St. Paris. Fortunately, the performance was good enough for a victory as Miami East finished with a score of 186.

Cameron Haines has been peaking at the right time as he led the Buccaneers for the second straight afternoon with a team-low of 39 strokes. Mat Dieperink scored a 41, white Bryson Hite and Brodie Manson both finished with 45 strokes. Sam Grabeman scored a 47 and Connor Humphrey a 49.

The Buccs still have a huge outing next Thursday in the TRC Championships and are able to prepare for the tournament with a head-to-head matchup against Piqua on Tuesday. Both outings are at Echo Hills.
