PIQUA – It was a memorable afternoon for the Covington golf team at Echo Hills on Tuesday as the Buccaneers broke the school record for a team total of 146 strokes in nine holes. The previous record of 147 strokes was set in 2010 by Eric Beckstedt, Christian Carder, Andrew Tobias, Martin Leistner and Sam Slusher.

The six-man crew of Matt Dieperink, Sam Grabeman, Bryson Hite, Cameron Haines, Connor Humphrey and Brodie Manson contributed to the new school record and also tallied an impressive number of ten birdies as a team.

Dieperink led the Buccs by finishing one under par with a score of 35, while sam Grabeman finished even par with a score of 36.

Bryson Hite was one over par with a 37, while Cameron Haines and Connor Humphrey both carded a score of 38. Brodie Manson finished with a total of 44.

With the 146-230 victory over Northridge, the Buccaneers improve to 6-0 in the TRC and host Miami East next Monday.
