LADY BUCCS JV TEAM HAS BIG DAY

SIDNEY – The Covington junior varsity volleyball team put together a stellar performance in the Lehman Invitational on Saturday at Lehman Catholic High School.

The Lady Buccs finished second out of eight teams to improve their overall record to 17-2 on the season.

Covington opened with a win over Anna in two sets 25-10, 25-19 and advanced to the finals by defeating Ft. Loramie in two sets 25-19, 25-14.

In the finals against Beavercreek, a Division I program, Covington played extremely well despite falling short of winning the tournament as the Beavers handed the Lady Buccs a defeat in two close sets 23-25, 16-25.

Overall, it was a great day for the Lady Buccs as they were able to challenge themselves and excel against very stiff competition.
